The inline player (playback in feeds) lets you watch videos while you browse YouTube, without going to the videos watch page.
Note: If you watch a video for a certain amount of time while browsing, it may enter into yourwatch history. Learn more about how to manage your watch history.
Playback in feeds may be on by default when you're using either Wi-Fi or mobile data. If you'd like to customize yourexperience, use the directions below to turn this feature on or off:
To turn playback in feeds on or off:
- Select your profile picture

- Tap Settings
General.
- Tap Playback in feeds.
- Select your preferred option:
- Always on - Use on Wi-Fi and mobile data
- Wi-Fi only - Use only when connected to Wi-Fi
- Off - Dont use at all
